Isıcam Sytems K Series:

  This series is manufactured from high quality heat and solar control coated Şişecam Low-E Glass. Compared to ordinary double glazing units, it reduces heat loss by 50% providing maximum thermal insulation in winter and it reduces solar heat gains by 40%, thusly reducing cooling costs in summer.

Isıcam Sytems S Series:

  This series is manufactured from high quality heat control coated Şişecam Low-E Glass. Compared to ordinary double glazing, it reduces heat loss by 50%, thus decreasing heating expenses and saving energy during the winter.

Isıcam Sytems C Series:

  This Series is the classical series which provides insulation at a standard level through the Isıcam's assurance. Isıcam Systems are manufactured by Isıcam Authorized Producers who are regularly inspected by Şişecam Düzcam. Please do not forget to request the 10 years warranty certificate provided by Isıcam Authorized Producer.

TEMPERED GLASS

       

           

Tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass.

This safety glass obtaines a high resistance to mechanical and thermal shock. Tempered glass is 5 times stronger than regular glass of equal thickness. Glass tempering is a process in which the glass is heated to a temperature close to the melting temperature of the glass and then cooled suddenly in order to impart resistance to the glass. The glass is heated to about 700 ° C in a special tempering oven and rapidly cooled down to give a tensile stress of 10.000 psi to the glass surface.

When the glass breaks, it breaks apart into thousands of small fragments without sharp edges. Therefore, the risk of injury is much lower than normal glass. The use of tempered glass is crucial for the safety of life and property.

Tempered glass can be incorporated into insulating double glazing glass.

REFLECTIVE SOLAR CONTROL GLASS

       

Şişecam Tentesol is Şişecam Flat Glass’ reflective solar control glass.

Advantages

• Prevents solar heat transmission into buildings, control the luminosity of sunlight and provides a comfortable working and living environment.
• Reduces the cooling energy consumption and provides savings on cooling expenses.
• Creates mirror effect from brighter direction of light. For example, it provides one way view from inside to outside during day hours and from outside to inside during night.
• With its high reflectance, Şişecam Tentesol offers a uniform appearance for buildings with curtain walls by covering background features such as spandrels, columns, beams, suspended ceilings etc.
• The coating can be placed facing outside (surface 1) or inside (surface 2) of the Insulating Glass Units. Reflectance is emphasized with first; and color is emphasized with second surface applications.
• Due to its hard coating, it has no shelf life.
• Can be toughened, heat strengthened and bent. Lamination and enameling is also possible.

Note:

Solar control glass is subjected to thermal breakage risks. In order to avoid thermal breakage risks, toughening or heat strengthening is recommended. When laminating Şişecam Tentesol, all panes of the laminated glass should be either toughened or heat strengthened in order to avoid thermal breakage risks.
